How My Husband and I First Met

Kyle and I first met in September of 2006 at a singles ward down at Utah Valley University (previously known as UVSC).  I know what your thinking, a singles ward really?? Honesty, I never thought that single wards actually worked, but for my husband and I, that was the beginning of our journey together.  In fact, both my husband's parents and grandparents also met at a singles ward, so I guess we are just carrying on the family tradition.

At the time, I was still living in Alpine (my hometown) and Kyle was living in an apartment down on campus.  After exhausting my options at my own singles ward, one of my close friends had convinced me to attend her singles ward.  Since I had gotten an associate degree from UVU recently, I figured why not try it out.  As soon as I went into Sunday School (it was the first meeting),  my husband and I locked eyes from across the room.  I thought to myself "wow, he is cute."  Well it turns out that my friend (the one who had convinced me to come to church with her) had just been on a date with his roommate.  I later found out the my husband told his roommate "wow, that girl is hot."  So you would think that the story would end there, but heavens no, this is just the beginning.
